Maria FONTANA

Maria Fontana passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18, 2026. She is survived by her parents, Lucia and Calogero Fontana, and her sisters, Luisa and Josie. She was a loving aunt to Vanessa, Christian, Aidan, Lucas, and Mason. Maria was born in Salaparuta, Sicily, and moved to Canada at the age of two. She grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, where she attended school and graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Economics and Business. Maria worked at St. Joseph's Healthcare for over 27 years, becoming Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. She was honoured with the St. Joseph's Mission Legacy Award in November 2025. Maria will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues.
