Linda Ruth GRANT
Linda Ruth Grant passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at St Peter's Hospital in Hamilton at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter Kohlberger, her much loved son, Robert Grant Scott, her dear brother, Larry Colin Grant, and both her parents, Marjorie Grant Taylor and Erland Grant. Linda was the cherished Grandma to her grandson, Ronan Scott Cara, and was also loved by the five Kohlberger grandchildren, Morgan, Giovanni, Maria-Sofia, Zoe, and Isla. Linda began her career as an elementary school teacher and principal with the Hamilton Board of Education. After earning her Doctorate in Education, she worked as an executive assistant for the Ontario Public School Teachers' Federation, where she developed the 'Supervisory Officers' Qualification Program' and created many publications for teachers, vice-principals, principals, and the general public. Linda continued her career with the Ontario College of Teachers as Director of Professional Standards, and many provinces across Canada benefited greatly from her groundbreaking work. The family invites friends and relatives to attend a Celebration of Life on Friday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Ave Drive, Stoney Creek. Interment will follow directly after at Queen's Lawn Cemetery, 109 Main St East, Grimsby.
