Leonino "Leo" Firmani

Leonino 'Leo' Firmani passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 97. He was the beloved husband of Antonietta, and loving father to Frank and Marina Di Nardo. Leo was a proud Nonno and cherished Bisnonno to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brothers Bartolomeo, Santino, and Giuseppe. Leo will be deeply missed by his sister Maria Di Nizio, brother-in-law Luigi Assettino, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in Serramonacesca, Abruzzo, Italy, Leo immigrated to Canada in 1957 and worked as a superintendent at McNally Construction Ltd. for over 30 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Ralph Profetto for his support and compassion. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME in Stoney Creek on June 9, 2026, from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on June 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by entombment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
