Joel Christopher O'DONNELL

Joel Christopher O'Donnell passed away on August 21, 2026. He was the husband of Leann for more than 23 years and the father of Lauren and Karisa (Matt). Joel was the son of Tom and Sue and the brother of Jim (Marg), Jeff (Mandy) and the late Jay (Michelle). He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews—Thomas (Melody), Danielle (Jason), Christopher, Cydney (Aaron), Josh, Michael (Kendall), Quinn, Melissa (Dalton), Alison (Patrick), Shannon (Dom)—and his great‑nephew Colton, as well as extended family and friends. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Bill (Lee) Pearson, Ron (late Maureen) McKay, Joan (late Gord) O'Donnell, and Dana Heddle. Joel devoted more than two decades to Taylor Steel Inc., where he was noted for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication. In April 2024 he was diagnosed with glioblastoma and faced the illness with courage, undergoing surgeries and treatments while continuing to prioritize his loved ones. Cremation has been completed. Friends may gather at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
