Irene MCCOWAN

Irene McCowan passed away on March 18, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, after a long and courageous battle with cancer and multiple sclerosis. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 59 years, George, and her loving children Kenneth and Dawn, and Linda and Jason. She was predeceased by her son David. Irene was a cherished Gran to her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was loved dearly by her extended family and cherished friends in Scotland and Canada. A celebration of the life of Irene McCowan will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, 7 King St. W, Stoney Creek at 11.00 a.m. with visitation from 10.00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to the MS Society of Canada or to cancer research. Arrangements are entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home, Stoney Creek.
