Hilda Esther KAULBACK

Hilda Esther Kaulback passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 97, after a short stay at Ridgeview Long Term Care Home. Born in Centreville, Digby County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Esther (Savary) Hubley and sister to Beatrice, Helen, Leon, Robert, and Willard (Shirley). She was predeceased by the love of her life, Grant Joseph Kaulback (2007), whom she married in 1950, and together they built a life in Hamilton and Stoney Creek. She is survived by her brother Willard (Shirley) and her children Richard (Lynne), Brent (Marilyn), and Lynn (Robert), and is reunited with her daughter-in-law Dale. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Shailah (Andrew), Ashley, Tristan, Devin (Jasmine), Jamieson (Robyn), and Hillary (Silveste), and nine great-grandchildren, with a tenth on the way, as well as a large extended family. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek, on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 11:30 a.m., until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
