Giannina (née DiFrancesco) DAMIANI

Giannina (née DiFrancesco) Damiani peacefully passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of the late Francesco Damiani. Giannina is survived by her children, Marianne Napoleone (Joseph) and the late Pia DiGiacinto (John). She was also cherished by her grandchildren, Melissa Quaglia (Piero), Laura Campo (John), Michael DiGiacinto (Mary), Katrina DiGiacinto, Stefanie Napoleone, and Daniel Napoleone (Nicole), and her great-grandchildren, Juliana, Matteo, Mya, Ava, Aliyah, Sienna, and Lucia. Giannina was predeceased by her parents, Lorenzo and Livia DiFrancesco, and her parents-in-law, Pio and Antonia Damiani. She is also survived by her sister, Domenica DiFrancesco (late Enrico Franchi), and her sister-in-law, Mina Damiani (late Biagio). Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 454 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on February 9, 2026, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on February 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Holy Souls Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
