Antonio "Tony" MIRABELLA

Antonio 'Tony' Mirabella passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of the late Angela (Lina) (nee Botticella). Tony was the loved father of Carmela Mirabella and Michael Mirabella (Sheila). He was the cherished Nonno of Joanne, Antonio (Stephanny), Alyssa (Chad), Jake, and Bisnonno of Andres. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Michele and Carmela Mirabella, as well as his siblings, the late Filomena (late Giuseppe), late Carmelina (Franco), late Vito Mirabella (late Emanuela), late Peter, and late Carmen. He was also predeceased by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tonino and Ernesta Boticella, Rita and Paolo Cecere, Giovanni and Carmela Boticella, and Rocco and Isa Boticella. Tony is sadly missed by his beloved dog, Suzie, and lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and their families. After 31 years of retirement from Slater Steel, Tony enjoyed entertaining his family and friends with his accordion and harmonica. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Tony's daughter-in-law Sheila for her unwavering love and support over the years, especially during his hospital stay, and to Dr. Henry He and the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road), Stoney Creek, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5-8 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Bayview Cemetery & Mausoleum, Burlington.
