Anton BUKVIC

Anton BUKVIC passed away peacefully at Deerpark Villa in Grimsby on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of the late Marija for 61 years. Anton was a devoted father of Anton, Bob, and Andrew, and a cherished grandfather of Derek, Daynan, Christopher, Sarah, Anthony, and Ava, and great-grandfather of Olivia, Brandon, and Caia. He was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Joe, and Peter; brothers-in-law Frank Gimpelj and John Horvat; and his wife is not mentioned as predeceased but rather as the late Marija. Anton will be lovingly remembered by his sister Elizabeth and sister-in-law Elizabeth Gimpelj, along with his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Deerpark Villa for their loving care and support. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek, on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church, 125 Centennial Parkway N., Hamilton, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Deerpark Villa would be appreciated by the family.
