Adelina (nee Di Donato) DI CROCE
Adelina Di Croce passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 96. Born in Abruzzo, Italy, she immigrated to Brasil in 1950 with her husband, where their three children were born. In 1965, they immigrated to Canada, where they built a life rooted in faith, hard work, and family. She took immense pride in her gardens and her kitchen, where she expressed her love through cooking and baking. She will be remembered for her homemade lonza, sausage, and gnocchi. Adelina is survived by her children, Miriam (Guido) Castelli, Lidia (Lino) Pelone, and Amasilio (Elda) Di Croce; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Renato, and siblings, Emma (Domenico) Savini, Fiorindo and Sofia DiCroce, Giosafatto and Ida DiCroce, Iolanda and Arturo DiCroce, Elisa and Giuseppe Candelori, Maria and Lorenzo Castelli, and Italia and Carmine Fedele. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. at Smith's Funeral Home, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road), Stoney Creek. Funeral Prayers will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday.
