Marylou Demers

Marylou Demers passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 75. She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Roger Demers. Marylou built a respected career as a talented bookkeeper for Midtown Forge in Welland. Her dedication and position were matched only by the care she showed to those around her. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tamara Walter (Paul) of Buffalo, New York; her son Jeremy Boback of Cleveland, Ohio; her granddaughters Emily Walter (Ben), Claire Walter, and grandson Jacob. Stepchildren Patrick Demers (Sylvie) of Sturgeon Falls, Philip (Christine) of Chippawa, and Nicole Tobias (Mike) of Port Colborne; granddaughters Arlie and Harper Tobias; and grandsons Christian and Cole Demers. She also leaves behind a brother, Larry Wendt (Sue) of Berlin Centre, Ohio; a cousin, Linda Skillington (Chris) of Florida; and cousins Gary Keenan and Rick Keenan (Dianne) of Ohio. Marylou was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Mary Wendt (Sovik) of Youngstown, and her brother Bill Wendt (Jackie) of Texas. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends to honour Marylou's memory and joy she brought into the lives of others.
