Ferne May (nee Heipel) ALLEN

Ferne May Allen passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Stayner, she was the beloved wife of the late Bob Allen, who predeceased her in 2009. She is survived by her children, Scott, Mark (Kathy), and Peter (Tracy), as well as her grandchildren, Kyle, Morgan (Jordan), Hannah (Sean), Emma (Jordan), Jeff (Ella), Rebecca (Greg), Luke, and Matthew, and great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Madeleine, and Evelyn. Ferne was a kind and loving woman who cherished her family and community. She was a longtime librarian and an active member of the Stayner Heritage Society. She was involved in Girl Guides and, alongside her husband, was a dedicated partner in service with the Stayner Lions Club. Her family will gather privately for a graveside ceremony at Stayner Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Ferne's family.
