Edward James "Jim" "Fibber" Braithwaite

Edward James 'Jim' Braithwaite, also known as 'Fibber,' passed away on July 13, 2026, in St. Thomas, Ontario. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to the late George and Elizabeth Braithwaite, Jim is survived by his wife, Rebecca, and their children, Siobhan, Liam, and James. He is also survived by his twin sister, Barbara, who was predeceased by her husband, John, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews, and cousins. Jim had a varied career, working as an electrician and owning a bar called Fibbers, but his most important role was as a loving husband and father. A Celebration of Life open house will be held on August 15, 2026, at 41 David Drive, St. Thomas, Ontario, starting at 2:00 p.m., where friends and family are invited to share songs, stories, and cheer in his memory.
