Julio DI FILIPPO

Julio DI FILIPPO passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at St. Catharines General Hospital, just three days before his 90th birthday. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Gianna (Jenny), with whom he shared 53 loving years of marriage, and a devoted family who will forever carry his spirit forward. Julio was a devoted husband, the beloved patriarch of his family, and a pillar of the St. Catharines community. He was deeply loved and widely respected, remembered for his unwavering kindness, generosity, and remarkable work ethic. Julio's greatest joy was being Nonno to his four grandsons: Ethan, Jake, Julian, and Jett. He was their biggest supporter, loudest cheerleader, and dearest friend. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, 2026, at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7, at St Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St. at 9:30 am. Private entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn. In Julio's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
