Jerzy "Jurek" BUKSINSKI
Jerzy 'Jurek' Buksinski passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in Sopot, Poland, he will be remembered for his joyful spirit, strength, generous heart, and the deep love he carried for his family. He was the beloved husband of Irena Buksinska (nee Joachimczyk) for 56 years. Cherished father of Maria (Wladyslaw) Bednarz and Arkadiusz Buksinski. Loving grandfather of Kasia (Tristan), Monika, Mike, Nicholes, and Koda. Proud great-grandfather of Bronek and Tomek. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters, Danuta and Katarzyna, daughter-in-law, Dorota, as well as the rest of his extended family in Poland. Friends are invited to join the family at the George Darte Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, visiting Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, followed by the Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre).
