Jerry (Gerald) HOLMES

Jerry (Gerald) James Holmes passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Hannah (nee Stanwick), daughters Carol-Ann Rochon and Julie Wilson, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry (Anne) and Gary (Ferne), and four nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his son, Christopher Gerald. Jerry was an accomplished radiographer, welder, subcontractor, and cabinetmaker. He built and sold exquisite antique reproduction furniture and became a respected antiques dealer in the Niagara Region. Jerry's greatest talent was his art, and he was a beautiful painter with work exhibited at Brock University. He loved music, particularly Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Supertramp, and he also loved animals and spent many happy years with his cats. Following cremation, visitation will take place at Haine Funeral Home & Chapel on February 28, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Tributes from family and friends will take place during the last thirty minutes of the visitation. A celebration of Jerry's life will take place at Overtime Pub immediately following the visitation. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society and ALS Society in lieu of flowers are appreciated.
