Elvira Broccolo

Elvira Broccolo of St. Catharines, Ontario, died on August 15, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on November 25, 1939. Predeceased by her parents, Cesare and Filomena Rizzuti, and by her siblings Emilio, Giuseppina, Gisira and Frank, she is survived by her sister Carolina Marchese, her children Adriano, Michael, Santino and Franca, and her grandchildren Christina, Danielle, Nicole, Michael, Nicholas, Alixandrea, Drew and Isabella, as well as numerous great‑grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A vigil service took place that evening from 7:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the George Darte Funeral Chapel. The funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, followed by a committal service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, 431 Queenston St., St. Catharines, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
