Christine (née Schmiedeberg) SCHWANDT

Christine Schwandt (née Schmiedeberg) passed away peacefully at her home on August 31, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on December 5, 1934, in Bremerhaven, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Hans and Annemarie Schmiedeberg and sister to the late Hans Schmiedeberg. In 1952, Christine immigrated to Canada with her family. She dedicated 30 years of her career to Dofasco and was married to the late Gustav Schwandt for 40 years. Christine is survived by her stepdaughter, Elisabeth Latner (Rodney), and her nephews and niece in Canada. She had a passion for travel and explored many parts of the world. Cremation has taken place at Wilson Burial & Cremation Inc.
