Geraldine VAN BERGEYK

Geraldine Van Bergeyk passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on June 26, 1966, to John and Grace Van Bergeyk, Geraldine was a beloved sister to Larry and Gilbert. She is predeceased by her father, John Van Bergeyk, and her nephew, Adam Van Bergeyk. Geraldine is survived by her mother, Grace Van Bergeyk, and her siblings, Larry (Nelly) Van Bergeyk and Gil (Michelly) Van Bergeyk, as well as her nieces and nephews, Tonia (Daucette and children), Sophie (Nate) Hawkins and children, Leah (Jake) Johnstone and children, Grace (Mitch) Dobbie and children, and Cory Van Bergeyk. Visitation will take place at Merritt Funeral Home in Smithville on Wednesday, February 18, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Lane Cemetery, St. Anns. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Community Living in Beamsville, particularly Breanne and Jill, for their love, care, and support.
