Valerie Deakin

Valerie Deakin of Smiths Falls, Ontario, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on May 9, 1931, Valerie was a cherished member of her family and community. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill. Valerie is survived by her children, Janice (Sue) and Ian (Mirella), as well as her grandchildren, Ellie (Thibault), Lani (Joel), and Jake. A reception to honor her life will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, located at 112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, ON K7A2C2. Following the reception, a burial will be held at St. Bede's Cemetery at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SE Foundation (St. Elizabeth), which provided compassionate care to Valerie.
