Margaret Rose James

Margaret Rose James of Smiths Falls, Ontario, born on March 2, 1939, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her sisters Joyce Knapp, Ida Thomson, Jean Wall, Joan Dowdall, and Beatrice Loomis. Margaret is survived by her husband Lawrence, her sons Gregory (Louise), Steven (Susan), and Daniel James, as well as her grandchildren Mark (Elena), Amy, Shawn, Joseph, Cory (Brooke), Curtis (Alyssa), Jessica (Joe), Cody (Baili), and Josh (Laura). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Blair & Son - Smiths Falls Chapel. A reception will follow from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
