John Leslie Putnam

John Leslie Putnam of Smiths Falls, Ontario, passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 79. He is remembered fondly by family, friends, and colleagues whose lives he touched with kindness and warmth. John Leslie was predeceased by his wife, Judy Putnam; his parents, Harry and Ella Putnam; his sister-in-law, Doris Murray; and his mother-in-law, Norah Code. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Chad), as well as his siblings-in-law, Nancy Gemmill (late Gary), Jack Code (Deborah), and Bill Code. John Leslie also leaves behind cousins, nieces, a nephew, and extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated as a tribute to his memory.
