Glenn Robert Sample

Glenn Robert Sample of Smiths Falls, Ontario, was born on December 14, 1938, and died on August 18, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Isobel; his sister Lila; his brother-in-law Fred "Ted" McGonegal; his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Glenola; his nephews Lee McGonegal and Ken Sample; his niece Elaine Sample (Steve Moss); and his great‑nephew Douglas Glenn. He is survived by his daughter Diane Goellner (Richard Ricciardi); his sisters‑in‑law Sylvia Humphreys, Gail Code and Jamie Harper (Glen); his nieces and nephews Lynda Grant (Dan), Julie Sample (Kevin), Bob (Mary Lu), Bill Sample (Jane), Kerry McGonegal (Eric Deere) and Kevin McGonegal (Maureen); as well as Vivian and Holbrook. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95, 7 Main St E, Smiths Falls, ON K7A1A1. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ontario Plowmen's Association and the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
