Alice Essie Lewis

Alice Essie Lewis of Smiths Falls, Ontario, died on August 6, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Elsie Burns; her siblings William, Raymond (married Ann), David (married Linda), Howard, Audrey Macdonald, Dorothy Fleming (married Donald), Ruth Jones (married Lorne) and Lorraine Crotty; her sister‑in‑law Sandra Burns; and her grandson Jesse Lewis. Survivors include her children Laverne (married Jim), Bob and Kevin (married Judith); her brothers Allan and Gordon; her siblings‑in‑law Norma, Betty, Shelley Burns and Dale Macdonald; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95, 7 Main St E, Smiths Falls, ON K7A 1A1. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95, or Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County.
