Richard William Sweeney

Richard William Sweeney of Schomberg, Ontario, passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 62. He is predeceased by his parents, Gloria Anne Sweeney and Richard Patrick Sweeney. Richard is survived by his wife Barbara Cairns; his children, Justin Sweeney and his wife Connie, and Kelsey Maroney and her husband Jessie; his stepdaughters, Kerri and her husband Steve, and Amanda and her husband Robin; his siblings, Deborah Edwards and her husband Paul, and Shawn Sweeney and his wife Carla; his nephews, Ryan Edwards and his wife Melanie, Kyle Edwards and his wife Tiffany, Aidan Sweeney, and Ally Sweeney; and his great-niece Rylie Edwards. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Richard's memory to support youth sports and hockey development causes.
