Michael Douglas Carrick passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on September 5, 1968, he was the eldest son of the late Jo Ann Carrick and her husband, Garry Sootheran. Michael is survived by his brother Myles and sister-in-law Heather, as well as his nieces and nephews, Lily and Devyn. He is also survived by his auntie Susie and uncle Gary of Newfoundland, and their children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bellwoods Centres in Michael's memory, in gratitude for their care and dedication to him over the past six years.
