Mary "Ellen" Raffaele

Ellen Raffaele, aged 91, passed away on July 20, 2026. Born in Rose Township, Ontario, on May 25, 1935, Ellen later moved to Sault Ste. Marie, where she dedicated her life to family, community, and service. She worked for many years as a Red Cross Homecare Worker, taking great pleasure in assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities. Ellen is survived by her sons, Steve (Rosanne) and Frank Raffaele (late Claire), along with four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dave), Ryan (Anita), Raymond, and Brandi Grondin (Mike), and two great-grandchildren, Mylo and Wesson. She is also survived by her sister Shirley, brothers George, Sam, and John, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Isabelle, and several siblings. A Graveside Service will be held in Sault Ste. Marie at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
