Marie FISCHER

Marie Fischer passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 86, peacefully at her home in Sarnia, with her daughter Eva by her side. Born in Czechoslovakia to Jan and Emilie Fischer, Marie was the second of eight children and sister to Jarka, Honza, Vera, Zdena, Josef, Vlasta, and Anička. In 1969, Marie immigrated to Sarnia, Ontario, with her husband Stefan Durco and daughter Eva, where she built a life marked by perseverance, kindness, and quiet strength. She was predeceased by her husband Stefan Durco on October 19, 2019. Marie is cherished by her daughter Eva, her son-in-law Jack Schueler, and her grandchildren Arthur, Nicholas, and Emily. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
