Kenneth "Ken" BYDELEY
Kenneth 'Ken' Bydeley passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at Bluewater Health Sarnia, surrounded by his children, Barb (Rob) Prince and David Bydeley, along with his granddaughter, Taylor Spitzig. Ken was married to Marilyn Bydeley (2021) for 57 years, and it is comforting to think she called him to join her. He is survived by his granddaughter Chelsey (Jay) Prince-Wilson, great-grandsons Jake and Ben, and his siblings Margaret Takema, Cec (Vera) Bydeley, Fran Van De Hoef, Anna (Jack) Woolford, Steve (Dianne) Bydeley, and Jake (Debbie) Bydeley. He also leaves behind in-laws Barb Purton, Shirley Evans, Wayne (Margaret) Phibbs, Nathalie Prosser-Bydeley, and many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Wijbe bij de Leij and Anna (De Jong), as well as several siblings and in-laws. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at The Village on the St. Clair and the medical team at Bluewater Health for their care. In accordance with Ken's wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation, but a family ceremony will be held in the future to scatter his and Marilyn's ashes at Centennial Park, Point Lands Cremated Ashes Scattering Site. Donations may be made to the United Way, Sarnia Lambton. Arrangements are entrusted to Smith Funeral Home.
