John "Harry" Harrison Dunlop

John 'Harry' Harrison Dunlop passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of Gayle Dunlop for 70 years. Harry was a loving father of Mac (Patti) Dunlop and Jeff Dunlop. He was a cherished grandfather of Derek (Stephanie) Dunlop, Erin (Brad) Forbes, Darcy (Lindsay) Sheffer, Jeremy (Brandi) Dunlop, and Travis (Tara) Dunlop. Harry was a treasured great-grandfather of Cole and Chloe, Grace and Bryson, Sabrina, Dylan, Amber, Colby, Carissa, and Ethan, Elwin and Holden, Sullivan and Berkley. He is also remembered by his uncle David (Laura), Aline (Kelly) Dubois, Ruth, and his special neighbours Michael and Jackie, Mike and Ann, Marti and Sheila, and James and Carolyn. Harry was predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Kay Dunlop and his sister Marilyn. He was a proud member of Local 539 and dedicated 50 years to his trade as a sheet metal worker. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Stoesser, Trillium Villa, and the staff at Bluewater Health for their care and compassion. Cremation and a private burial have taken place. An open house will be held to celebrate Harry's life on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
