James Phillip Gavan

James Phillip Gavan passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 77, at St. Joseph's Hospice, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deb, his daughter Alison and her husband Adam, and his granddaughter Tatum. Jim is also remembered by his sister JoAnne, brothers-in-law Stephen and Fred, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Greg and parents Vincent and Gisele. Jim had a fulfilling career as a truck driver with MacKenzie Oil, serving the farming community, a profession he began at the age of 13. The family is grateful for the care provided by the staff of Bluewater Health 3B, the Palliative Care team, St. Joseph's Hospice, Dr. Lebert, and Dr. Crombeen. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at a later date. In his memory, the family welcomes donations of comfort items or monetary contributions to purchase those items, to be donated locally.
