Fredrick James SOMES

Fredrick James Somes passed away peacefully at Bear Creek Terrace in Petrolia on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife Roberta 'Lillian' (Gatecliff) Somes, to whom he was married for 65 years, as well as his parents James and Nettie Somes, and his siblings Joyce (Don) Cooper, Marie (Cliff) Lumley, Dean Nutt, Charlie Somes, Jacob Somes, and Liz (Jim) Johnson. He is survived by his loving daughter Patricia Ward, his dear grandchildren Daryl (Nicole) and Lindsay, and his special great-grandchildren Summer, Jace, and Zak. He is also survived by his dear sister Nettie Nutt and many nieces and nephews. A private family gathering and a private graveside service will take place at a later date. The family of Fred Somes is eternally grateful to all who supported and assisted him in his last years. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steadman Brothers Funeral Chapels, Brigden.
