Edith HOULE

Edith Houle passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at the age of 103, surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, who died in 1991, and her daughter Lorraine, who died in 1949, as well as her parents Donat Dufour and Virginie, and siblings Aline, Adrien, and Roger. Edith is survived by her children Guy, Marc, Mike, and Patsy, and her sister Lita Francoeur. She was a loving mother and adored grandmother of many, including Tanya, Chantale, Natalie, Carly, Jayme, Emily, Lesli, Julie, Brooke, and 14 great-grandchildren. Edith was born in Chandler, Quebec, and later moved to Smooth Rock Falls in northern Ontario, where she met her husband. She was an active member of the St. Thomas d'Aquin parish, playing the organ for 60 years, and was also involved in the Club Jolliet. Edith enjoyed skiing, skating, and bowling, and was an avid walker. She will be remembered for her love of her family and her dedication to her community.
