Raj Kumar, Prof. PATHRIA

Raj Kumar Pathria, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Physics at the University of Waterloo, passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Ramdas, a small town north of Amritsar, to Ramji Das Pathria and Mela Devi Pathria, Professor Pathria's life was marked by brilliance, curiosity, and an unwavering passion for teaching. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Delhi in 1957 and embarked on a distinguished career that would span continents and touch thousands of lives. He is survived by his family.
