Margaret Leota Hicks

Margaret Leota Hicks, born May 11, 1931 in Listowel to Leslie and Violet (Heath) Machan, died on August 20, 2026, at the age of 95. She attended St. Marys D.C.I., where she excelled in business and athletics, and later worked for the Public Utilities before marrying Stanley in 1951. She is survived by her daughter Kim Lalonde; her son Gary and his spouse Celina, and their children Lucas and Clarissa; her grandchildren Jason and his spouse Cathy, and Katie and his spouse Matthew; great‑grandchildren Avery, Parker and Blake; great‑grandchildren Gwendolyn and Callan; great‑grandchildren Bruce and his spouse Catherine, and their sons Benjamin and Nolan; great‑grandchildren Peter and his spouse Diane, and their sons Scott and Adam. Her sister Helen Blakeley, whose husband Arthur predeceased her, and a best friend and soulmate also survive her, as do several nephews, a niece, and an adopted sister.
