James ATHOE

Jim passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 93. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Carol, daughter Lisa, son Gary, daughter-in-law Maureen, and is predeceased by son Steven and brothers Barry and Bob. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren Nick, Kyle, Drew, Rachel, Jake, Lindsay, and Michael, and great-grandchildren Mia, Charlotte, and Sloane. Jim will be remembered for his love of family, cars, dogs, and community, and for building a lifetime of memories in Ridgeway, Ontario. He was the owner of Athoe Collision Service and Dufferin Motors, and worked as an appraiser for Co-Operators Insurance. Jim was an active member of the Ridgeway Lions Club and served a term as president. He enjoyed various pursuits in his retirement, including teaching, masonry, and home renovation. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Benner Funeral Services.
