DONNA JAYNE (FALLE) SIMMS

Donna Jayne (Falle) Simms passed away comfortably at home on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by the love of her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Norbie Simms. Donna was a devoted mother of Stephen Simms and Joanne (Simms) Moore, and a dedicated grandmother of Jacob (Samantha), Calvin (Darby), Maxwell, and Curtis. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and raised in the Maritimes, Donna served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. She moved from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, to Ontario, raising her children in St. Catharines, and proudly worked for the federal government, spanning several decades, most notably as special assistant to the Speaker of the House of Commons. A memorial mass will be held at Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. N, Ridgeway, on Monday, April 20th, at 11 o'clock. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Snyder. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society, Niagara Chapter, in her memory.
