Rosette Zabaneh

Rosette Zabaneh of Richmond Hill, Ontario, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Zabaneh and her sister Theresa. Survivors include her children Fayek (partner Najwa Jiryes), Maha (partner Jamal Madbak), Samir (partner Cathryn Cruickshank) and Emad (partner Alicia Dodd); grandchildren Elias, Lara, Michael, Nicholas, Leila, Adam, Andrew and Aleks; great‑grandchildren Rami and Raya; sisters Mary, Antoinette and Angela; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and lifelong friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Miles‑Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, ON. A funeral service took place on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 9116 Bayview Avenue, Richmond Hill, ON, followed by a reception from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church or to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in her name.
