Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Cook

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Cook of Richmond Hill, Ontario, passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Samuel Cook (Sam), her sister Alverna Hill, and her parents, John Eachern (Jack) and Gertrude Smith, among others. Betty is survived by her children, Vickery Bowles (Wayne), Andrew Cook (Susan), and Alison Cook (Corey Tkachuk); her sister Eleanor Lloyd; and her grandchildren, Aimee, Lauren, Connor Bowles, Madelyn, Mackenzie, Samantha Cook, Georgia, Matthew, and Andrew Tkachuk. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marshall Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and a reception from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church, Richmond Hill United Church, or Victoria College at the University of Toronto.
