Donald Joseph Hunt

Donald Joseph Hunt of Renfrew, Ontario, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 89. He was born on February 13, 1937. He was predeceased by his wife Lois (McNulty), his parents William and Margaret Hunt, and his siblings William, Gerard, Shirley, Desmond, Michael and Thomas. He is survived by his siblings Elizabeth Dillon (late Kevin), Kevin Hunt (Judy), Colleen Kiely (Bill), Brian Hunt (Patricia) and Marian Lane (Pat), as well as his sisters‑in‑law Mary (Blimkie) and Betty (Korry). Visitation was held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S, Renfrew, ON. A funeral Mass took place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Mt St. Patrick, ON, followed by burial at Holy Well Cemetery at 12:00 PM. A reception was held thereafter at the Daca Centre, 111 Flat Road, Dacre, ON. The family suggests memorial donations to DACA or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
