Avril Ellen Davies (nee Chopping) passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on December 1, 1936, in London, England, to Rose and Tom Chopping, Avril is survived by her children, Robin, Penny and her husband Chris, Will and his wife Doreen, and Jon and his wife Michelle; her grandchildren, Cameron and his wife Bethany, Liz, Ryan, Andrew, Molly, Megan, Raine, and James; her great-grandson, Wynnie; and her beloved partner, Dr. David Campbell. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Geoffrey Davies. A private family memorial will be held. Donations to the McMicheal Art Gallery are welcome in honour of her long-time volunteer work as a docent.
