Filomena La SCALA

Filomena La Scala passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Porto, Portugal, she immigrated to Canada at the age of 14. Filomena was predeceased by her parents, Armenio and Agostinha. She is survived by her husband, Pasquale, and their children, Dolores and her husband John, Frank, Eleonora and her husband Justin, and Carly and her husband Nick. She was a proud grandmother to Ryan, Alexis, Eli, Liam, Zack, and Sophia. Filomena will also be missed by her siblings, extended family, and many friends. A graduate of Niagara College, she was a successful business owner and was fluent in three languages. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. Cremation has taken place with a private family ceremony. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
