Merle Alicia Ellen St. John

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Merle Alicia Ellen St. John on September 28, 2026, in Port Perry, Ontario. Merle was predeceased by her husband, Wes St. John; her great-grandchildren, Hunter and Cora; her sister, Barbara Griffen (Jack); and her siblings-in-law, Audrey McNeill, Connie Archer, and Shirley Empringham (Charlie). She is survived by her children, Bill (Janis), Greg (Penny), Kelly (Ed), and Lisa (Dave); her grandchildren, Juwain (Mike), Owen (Marie), Courtney (Chris), Jodie, Jenny (Greg), Sarah (Chris), Kara (Jeff), Jared (Britni), Heather, Lauren, and Julia; and her great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Lennox, Phoenix, Madden, Gabby, Izzy, Charlie, Amber, Reed, Kayla, Teagan, Tristan, Jackson, Bentley, Lincoln, and Violet. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 3:30 PM at the Port Perry United Church, with Words of Remembrance preceding the service. In memory of Merle, donations may be made to the Port Perry United Church.
