John Howard Gibson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Howard Gibson, who resided in Burlington, Ontario. Born on August 9, 1936, in Toronto, Ontario, John Howard departed this life on October 3, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janet; his parents, John Gibson and Violet Gibson; and his sister, Joy Woods (Bert). John Howard is survived by his children, Andrea Parish (Bill), Stephen Gibson (Allison), and Martha Jane Budgell (Dean); his grandchildren, Hudson, Samuel, Justin (Emma), Ava, Logan, and Jacob; and his sister, Marjorie Cooper (Bill). A burial service took place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Highland Memory Gardens, located at 33 Memory Gardens Lane, North York, ON M2H3K4. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. George's Anglican Church, situated at 4691 Palladium Way, Burlington, ON L7M0W9. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in John's memory to Camp Mini-Yo-We, an organization with which John and his family have had a longstanding commitment and special connection.
