William Joseph Punyi

William Joseph Punyi of Port Colborne, Ontario, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on December 21, 1932, William was a beloved member of his family and community. He was predeceased by his parents, Bela Punyi of Szarvasko, Hungary and Maria (Mary), his wife Ida, his sister Helen, and several siblings-in-law including John DiNobile, Theresa Punyi, Romeo, Grace Cavasin, Jackie Cavasin, Jo-Ann, and Jim Holland. William is survived by his brothers, Ernie and Joe Punyi; his cousin Julie Terdik; his brother-in-law Norman Cavasin; his children, Diana (Dave), Paul (Maureen), Laurie (David), and David; as well as his grandchildren, Herb (Maggie), Haley (Devon), Matthew (Heather), Jeff (Emily), Connor (Megan), and Mackenzie (Emmett), along with great-grandchildren Arlo, Annie, and Arrow, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
