Richard MADSEN

Richard Madsen passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the Welland Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne, and their children Ron and Peggy-Jo, as well as his grandchildren Hannah, Seth, Sarah, and Luke. Richard will also be missed by his brothers Georg and Niels Madsen, and his sisters-in-law Delores Goddard, Debbie Cummings, and Lorna Horner, and his brother-in-law Lorne Ellis, in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Clara Madsen, and his sister Kirstine Asher. The family expresses gratitude to the caregivers at home and in the hospital. A private family burial was held at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Wainfleet, with funeral arrangements entrusted to Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel. Memorial donations to Niagara Shorthills Christian Ministries would be appreciated by the family.
