Norman SONNEBERG

Norman Donald Sonnenberg passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 88. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Sharon, and their children, Michael, Leigh, and Kristine. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richard, Alex, Ian, Hannah, Hollie, Owen, and Eliza, as well as his great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Oliver, and Isla. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Shirley Dixon, and siblings-in-law, Liz and Marion Sonnenberg, and Archie Ferguson. Norman was predeceased by his parents and brothers. He worked at John Deere Welland Works for 34 years and spent his retirement pursuing his passions, including volunteering and spending time with his family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Welland Hospital and Norm's specialists, Dr. Shoebridge and Dr. Lagroterria, for their care. A private family service will be held, and cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre, the Terry Fox Run, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Davidson Funeral Home.
