Marlene Adele SMITH (Symonds)

Marlene Adele Smith, formerly Symonds, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 88, at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by her daughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Vincent Smith, and her parents, Ernest and Winnifred Symonds, as well as her siblings, Betty, Joyce, and Ernie. Marlene is survived by her daughters, Cheryl, Aynsley, and Adrienne, and their spouses, Marc, Chris, and Scott. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bryanna, Brandon, Alicia, and Jordan, and their spouses, Jordan, Sara, and Andrew, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kaius, Matilda, Emery, Stella, and Leifur. Marlene devoted her life to her family and worked alongside her daughters at Smith Optical and Hearing. She also operated her own driving instructor business and cherished time with her great-grandchildren and her granddog, Lita. As per her wishes, a private family funeral has taken place. Memorial donations to Port Cares would be appreciated, and arrangements were entrusted to the Davidson Funeral Home.
