Joan Colquhoun

Joan Colquhoun passed away at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 83. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Christianson and her husband Robert Monk, and Julie Proulx and her husband Luke, as well as her granddaughter, Morgan Proulx and her husband Max. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Jim Christianson, in 1995, and her dear companion, Bill Sarre, in 2019. She will be remembered by her cousin, Paul Wright. Joan worked as a psychiatric nurse in Sudbury for over 30 years before retiring and moving to Port Colborne in 2005. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Portal Village, especially the PSWs in the care center and Sue and Marie, and to nurse Caitlin for her guidance and love while Joan was in her care. Joan's family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., with the funeral service to follow in the Davidson Chapel. Cremation will follow, and private interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery at a later time. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Port Cares would be appreciated by the family.
