James Harold Dennis HANSEN
James Harold Dennis Hansen passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 6, 2026, at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of Diane, and loving father of Jennifer Foster (Chris) and Amanda Bazinet (Todd). James was a caring grandfather of Deven and Brandon Foster and Owen and Andrew Bazinet. He will be sadly missed by his mother, Raymonde Brousseau, his brother and best friend, Tom, and sisters, Sue Hansen and Lynn Venezia (George). James is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Hansen, his sister, Cathy McPhee, and infant brother, Robert. Born in Montreal, Quebec, James and Diane moved to Port Colborne in 1974, where they raised two beautiful daughters. After retiring from John Deere after 30 years, James cherished the friendships he made along the way. He had a love for race cars and a passion for fishing. James' greatest joy was spending time with his four grandsons. Cremation has taken place, and arrangements have been entrusted to Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Rite of Committal at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations in memory of James can be made to St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.
